Notes from My Corner of the Web

The web can often feel loud, performative, and cluttered with noise. Between closed platforms, algorithmic feeds, and the constant rush of the modern internet, finding a quiet corner to simply exist and keep track of things on your own terms can be grounding.

My name is Kalvin. I am an IT student, neurodivergent, and this site is my personal space on the internet. My mindset is simple: let's connect or just co-exist.

Vibe-Coding and Personal Self-Hosting

I am not trying to build large-scale tech solutions or carry the weight of formal advocacy. Nowadays, my engagement with technology is strictly for myself:

  • Hobby & Vibe-Coding: Writing scripts, playing around with code, and tinkering purely for personal satisfaction and curiosity.
  • My Infrastructure: Running my own self-hosted setup on a VPS, working with clean Linux terminal commands, using tools like Coolify, and enjoying the reliability of managed email.
  • Hands-on Learning: Using open tools to understand systems at my own pace without corporate bloat.

Data and Narrative Sovereignty

While I keep my projects personal, I care deeply about how systems treat people. Exploitation—whether online or offline—remains a real concern.

More importantly, having an independent web space is tied to two core principles:

  • Data Sovereignty: Keeping control over my own files, environments, and personal data rather than handing everything over to commercial silos.
  • Narrative Sovereignty: Ensuring that my story, words, and experiences are defined solely by me. Past trauma lingers, but I refuse to be reduced to anyone else's caricature. The truth stands by itself.

What You Will Find Here

This blog is an open notebook for whatever I feel like documenting:

  • Personal self-hosting setups, VPS experiments, and command-line notes.
  • Thoughts on personal autonomy, digital boundaries, and navigating the web as a neurodivergent person.
  • General reflections, hobby code snippets, and quiet updates.

Whether you stop by to read, reach out to connect, or simply pass through to co-exist, you are welcome here.
